Team Fort Lauderdale Changes

Effective January 1, 2010 members will no longer need to join Team Fort Lauderdale separately. GFLRRC members will now be eligible for all of the same benefits and training as part of their annual dues. Great news to kick off the New Year!

Wednesday Night Track Changes

A Note from Coach Howard:

Just a reminder that we will be meeting for a track workout on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 at Central Park ( first light west of Pine Island) & north of Broward Blvd. Effective December 9. We will be doing our track workouts here until we can get a rubberized track.

Bridge running will be on alternate Thursday evenings at 6:30 on the 17th St. Bridge. Next bridge run will be Thursday December 17.

I do recommend a track workout for all, including walkers. The bridge workout can also be done by walkers.

If you or any friend would like a private lesson to check your running for or to answer any questions, I am available pretty much at your convenience. These private lessons must be done at Pompano Community Park and there is no Cost. Call me at 954-295-0226

Volunteer Needed

Board Position Available:

We are currently looking for a volunteer to assist with the E-Newsletter.

We need someone to help Linda Ayre and Bob Barnard to ensure information is sent out to our members on a regular basis. The person will need to have a computer and be accessible by phone. Knowledge of the Constant Contact program is beneficial but not essential if you are computer-savvy and a quick learner. Ideally you will have a keen interest in the running community and be willing to assist with our club races and events. The Board members meet once a month so you attendance at those meetings is important.
